My Mother, The Dragon and the Yuantong Temple.

Last year, in September, was 8 years since my mother passed away. I was in China at this time and could not visit my mother's plot in England to pay my respects.
Instead, my wife and I went to visit the Yuantong Temple, in Kunming, Yunnan, China. Where we would light some incense and pay respect to my mother in that way.
My wife is a Buddhist, which was good given that I don't know anything about that temple, and neither can I read Chinese; she took me there and showed me where to light the incense, and also where she would pay respects to her ancestors through the various Buddhist statues at the temple.
When I called to my mother, I felt her presence just above a small square in the temple. I could feel her telling me how beautiful the sun was and how I should have brought my daughter there with us. I felt somewhat bad, as my mother had died before Katie was born. She did not have a connection with my daughter, so, she could not connect to her as she could with me; I know she would have loved to see Katie. Things work differently in the place beyond, although I don't fully understand it, my mother's energy could only come when called/summoned.
Further inside the temple near a fountain I felt my mother's presence again. I could feel that she was still there to where I had summoned her; in that moment she could see something she had not seen when she was alive, she was happy to see that.
I was drawn to a tree, my mother gave me a hint to my father whose zodiac sign is a dragon. I was not sure at first why she sent me that message. Though, as I touched a tree there, I could literally visualise a dragon in a cave below me that had been trapped there long ago.
There was a narrow passageway leading to a large door that was cut into the side of the mountain, though it was sealed shut with no means of entry; it would have been nice to see what was in there?
On the opposite side of the temple, where the mountain curved around; I could see the outline of an ancient waterfall that was once there. Strangely, I visualised some type of basin at the bottom of the waterfall where monks were collecting water from.
I believe that was something my mother could see that she wanted me to see; something she knew I would be fascinated with.
Later that day, when we were home, I looked up the history of that temple. I did not find any references to the waterfall, which was annoying, as it would have been nice to know that it did exist. Though, I was able to find out that Yuantong temple was built to trap a dragon inside a cave that lived there.
This dragon was bad for the people who lived nearby the mountain, which is why monks came there and sealed it inside the cave with a metal door. The guard platform above the entrance still exists today, it was well guarded to ensure it never escaped.
My wife was surprised that I knew about the dragon; as it turned out I was right. She did not know either, but it was there once and my mother showed me that he had been trapped inside a dark cave unable to escape. I am not from China and I can't read Chinese, there is no other way possible I could have known about a dragon there, if not for my mother and my spiritual connection.
I do have to wonder if that dragon is still alive though after hundreds or thousands of years? Maybe not physically, but in spirit maybe?
