"The truth is whatever we tell you it is!"
Or
"The truth is whatever you see first!"
Actually...
The truth is something you must discover for yourself, as only what you learn and gain an understanding of something that it becomes true to the context it is held within.
Only objectivity will guide you to the universal truths that you must see with your mind as you gain wider awareness and understanding of a great many things beyond the subjective lenses.
...
In the modern world, many people find what's true for them with what they are told or seen.
Many people hide in the shadows of their minds with how they live their lives. They usually don't have any critical thinking and don't question things that are wrong around them; the only exception is a societal norm within their own scope.
In addition to this, many people in my experience have subjective thinking that stems from the primitive part of their brains; they are governed by their instinctual drive, which also includes their emotions.
Many people use the first point of reference (FPoR) as a basis for their thinking. In other words, they take the first thing they read as fact without using any critical thinking to ascertain if what they are reading is correct. Those that do read more, in my experience usually read subjectively from their own sources and don't adopt wider reading outside their own scope.
This usually means that their information and views are incorrect, which in turn creates a cascade effect of misinformation, thus, in turn, creating a wave of people who refuse to change their static views formed from their FPoR when challenged.
As a result of this, the truth is often elusive due to the restrictions many subjectively minded people set on their own minds.
